T5 Electric / Acoustic
Soon after the T5 hit the market in 2005, the music industry press nominated it for Electric Guitar of the Year. And Acoustic Guitar of the Year. Which pretty much sums it all up: the T5 is an electric/acoustic that defines the hybrid category. Today, the versatile T5 is the top-selling semi-hollow body guitar and the only one that uses all-magnetic pickups for both its electric and acoustic tones. That means real acoustic tones, real electric tones, and everything in between. The T5 also features proprietary Taylor pickups, 5-Way switch, and Taylor T-Lock™ neck joint.  And oh yeah, it won both awards.

T5-C2
Exotic tops say it all on the T5-C2. Koa comes standard, but “standard” is hardly the way to describe this rare, radiant hardwood. Other exotics are available from time to time too, including Macassar ebony, cocobolo, rosewood, and others. Available in natural with shaded edge.

Schapelle Corby Story

“It was meant to be a holiday: a two-week break to a tropical paradise to celebrate a sister’s birthday. But for Schapelle Corby it ended up a never ending nightmare. Arrested at Denpasar airport in 2004 after marijuana was found in her board bag, she had become the victim of every traveler’s darkest fear. The drugs had been placed in her bag after she’d checked it in and she was forced to face the consequences of someone else’s crime in a country where the penalties for drug smuggling are barbaric. Her trial became a major news story, as it was glaringly obvious that the evidence she pleaded to be considered was being ignored, and thorough investigation she begged for was being shrugged off. She was sentenced to a shocking 20 years in an Indonesian jail. Her appeals were dismissed equally as lightly, with the end of the judicial process being reached in March 2008.

Today, she remains in that squalid cell, as she will for countless years unless something is done. She will miss the best years of her life, never have kids, never see them play…. the list is endless. Despair and misery doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Whilst you are reading this, whilst you are sleeping, whilst you are travelling to work, or perhaps playing sport or watching TV… tomorrow, next week, next year…. remember where Schapelle is. She desperately needs you: she needs you to act for her, to speak out for her. “

Please try to read and inform yourself as much as you can on this situation. Spread what you know to anyone you can, get the word out, and help in any other way that you can think of. Posted on the discussion board are several different ways in which you can help Schapelle Corby. Please take the time to do this. You have no idea how much you can help by just spreading the word!

Last Tuesday (Feb 24) I had an opportunity to play Bass Guitar at The Cummer Museum Art & Gardens.  We opened for Georgia O’Keeffe and Her Times: American Modernism from the Land Collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

It was a 4-piece band including our singer (Keys, Drums, Bass (me) and Singer).  We played from 5pm – 8pm with some small breaks in between sets.  We played Jazz, Bossa Nova, Latin, Brazilian and Portuguese Music (12-15 different selections) .  It was a great evening.

Joyce and the kids came and saw other friends as well.  Suprisingly the place was occationally packed and busy, depending on the time slot.  The Cummer has many things to offer especially for the kids (lots of hands on activities).  Its FREE admission on Tuesday.  Visit their site at www.cummer.org

I will try to find photos so I can post them.
